Zen Shiatsu Massage
Japanese Zen Shiatsu is a form of therapeutic bodywork, performed without oils through light, comfortable clothing and uses gentle pressure, kneading, tapping, and stretching techniques to ease pain and tension in the body.
One of the fundamental principles of Japanese Shiatsu medicine is based on the Chinese medicine concept of Qi (pronounced "chee").
Qi is vital energy that flows through our body and underlies all of our body functions. Qi flows in specific pathways known as meridians. When Qi flows freely, we have good health. Poor health or symptoms of illness arise when Qi becomes either deficient, blocked or out of balance. Zen Shiatsu helps to stimulate and harmonize the flow of Qi throughout the body.
