Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage uses heated flat stones in conjunction with a remedial massage techniques to offer a deeply relaxing massage that just melts away the tension.
Before your massage, the stones are heated to a consistent temperature around 45-50°C. During the massage, the stones are placed on specific points along the body and then used as an extension of the practitioner's hands in the massage.
Hot stone massage can be very beneficial for anyone with chronic pain conditions, for example, Rheumatoid Arthritis or Fibromyalgia, by reducing the levels of substance P, which is how the body partly transmits pain signals.

individuals with a bleeding disorder or taking blood thinner medications e.g. warfarin
individuals with a history of blood clots
burns on your skin
diabetes
severe osteoporosis
open wounds
recent surgery (in the last 6 weeks)
a fracture or bone break
a low platelet count (known as thrombocytopenia)
