Clinical Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy Haberfield Health

Clinical hypnotherapy is a form of psychotherapy in which hypnosis is used to treat and alleviate a variety of physical and psychological symptoms.

A hypnotherapy session involves getting into a relaxed state of mind where your therapist can communicate with your subconscious to solve problems such as coping with stress and breaking bad habits. It combines cognitive therapeutic counselling techniques with subconscious healing techniques.

Here are some surprising benefits of clinical hypnotherapy:

1. Reduced anxiety and depression symptoms

With 1 in 7 Australians suffering from depression and 1 in 4 suffering from anxiety, mental health issues are widespread. Hypnotherapy may help those suffering with their mental health to improve their emotional control and focus their attention.

2. Quit smoking

Many have experienced the positive effects of hypnotherapy on smoking habits. It can take the emotional connection away from smoking and help to change the habit for good.

3. Phobia management

Hypnotherapy has been shown to help improve the physical and emotional symptoms that come along with phobias and fears, such as dental phobia and phobias of snakes.

4. Management of chronic pain

Hypnotherapy has been shown to improve chronic pain in arthritis, low back pain, fibromyalgia and more. It is a great tool to have as a part of your chronic pain management plan alongside more other modalities.

5. Improve insomnia and sleepwalking

Hypnotherapy is an effective tool to help individuals relax enough to get to sleep more easily. There are also claims that hypnosis can train you to wake up when your feet touch the floor to prevent sleepwalking episodes.
